MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Ten years ago, twelve Filipinas put up
a strong foundation for the SAMAHANG PILIPINA ZUG (SAPIL ZUG). Hand in hand they performed their ideas with diligence
and fun. Through a Bingo Luncheon they were able to invite more members as well as to earn the initial fund for the
club. The Bingo Luncheon became a regular activity through the succeeding years where everyone can enjoy other's company
and at the same time to share the Philippine food specialities prepared and brought by each participant.
Later, three of the founders went back to the Philippines for good. They are
now very active and successful in their chosen careers.
The first five years was the golden period for SAPIL ZUG. There was an influx
of more members and it was able to perform more educational and social gatherings. It was also able to support economic
and social projects in the Philippines. Thanks to its active and creative members who strongly preserve the bond of
unity.
Comparing to a ship, the SAPIL ZUG sailed in the peaceful and in the wrathful waters
of the sea. But because it is a strong ship, it reached the shore in full colors. It continued to carry out its
objectives and maintained goodwill.
Now the SAPIL ZUG looks back... we have 10 fruitful years!
Thank you very much to our families, friends, supporters,
sponsors, and to everybody who helped us through the years. Without you the realization of our dreams is impossible.
The future tells that we continue and stand up to our commitment. And so my
dear colleagues, let us prepare for it. We need your everlasting cooperation, interest, dedication and energy.
And most of all, let us keep our bond of respect and friendliness strong and alive! To the people who stood behind
us, please remain with us. You will be part of us.
